Matilda is a freelance editor from Melbourne. She has edited for a range of publications and publishing houses, working on books, magazines and online. Matilda trained as an editor at the University of Melbourne, where she completed a Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing (2013).
In 2010, Matilda co-founded You're Dripping Egg, an online review blog. She acted as editor-in-chief for You're Dripping Egg until the publication's closure in 2014, managing over 25 contributing writers and four regular columnists.
Now Matilda provides editorial support at Penguin Random House and Black Inc. Books. Previously she has worked in editorial at Executive Media and Time Out Melbourne. Matilda works as an editor, a ghostwriter and a proofreader. She also managed Black Inc.'s unsolicited submissions list in 2016.
Matilda has recently trained as an editorial paralegal, specialising in real estate. Currently Matilda works as an editorial paralegal at King & Wood Mallesons, where she proofs contracts, drafts correspondence and pitches, completes due diligence and conducts research for their Projects and Real Estate team.
